Its just so nice to go to a new city where you know a local. It makes everything so much easier and you don't have to think.
The trip from Bergen was on an overnight ferry which arrived at a ferry terminal in the middle of nowhere in Hantsholm at the top of Denmark. It was pouring down rain and I had to walk 1k into town to catch the bus, but after that it all seemed to go fairly smoothly and I got into Aarhus at about 3pm. Signe and her boyfriend Rasmus invited me round for dinner and cooked me up a fantastic steak and salad. That was my first home-cooked meal in a long time and it really hit the spot, thanks to Rasmus who really knows his kitchen.
Next day Signe showed me the sights - Art Gallery, old town and just walking around. We went to this traditional Danish place for lunch and had Smorresbrod which is like a open sandwich on dense brown bread covered with heaps and heaps of yummy yummy stuff. The food in this place was just getting better and better and these guys can really appreciate food. That night Rasmus cooked up some Mussels in a light Thai cocomut sauce, again, fantastic! We headed out on the town (which wasn't that busy being a Wednesday night), got our arses totally spanked at table football. It was a great town and fantastic fun - Thanks Signe and Rasmus!!!
