Drive through the Coahuila desert

I spent my Sunday driving to see a little bit of the countryside. I took the westbound highway direction Torreon and it didn't take long till I found myself in the middle of a desert.
I loved the landscapes and desert driving experience, though, on longer distances it could become pretty exhausting, especially in a poorly air-conditioned Tsuru car. Everything is so different than in Europe that I stopped quite many times on the way to go off the main road to see cactuses and enjoy the silence of an emptiness.. The furthest point I decided to go was Parras, a small city or one could say - oasis - in the middle of the desert, which is mainly known from it's winery - Casa Madero - which dates back to XVIth century and is the oldest one in both Americas. I bought there some excellent 2003 Chardonnays.
