It was my first time ever in Mexico and I was very excited for this trip. I spent two weeks in a quite industrial city - Saltillo - located in the north of the country, surrounded by the Coahuilla desert. I arrived via Newark and Houston on Saturday evening, rented a car and drove a bit around. My stay for work there was two weeks and we had enough time to complete the assignment, so I had some time to visit a small but nice desert museum and check out the city center.

Saltillo is a relatively compact city, it turned out to be more of a US style than I had earlier expected. It seemed to be well industrialized and has a picturesque yet small center. There was also aforementioned museum and an apparently good university. Apart from these, there is really not much else, just suburbs and businesses, oh, I guess beef is worth mentioning - it was really good, well above the European average and "state-of-art" if compared to the French/Belgian beef-like products que s'appellent "steaks" back there..
