Where I stayed
We also got to climb up another Eiffel Tower--yep, Prague has a mini one, that was built just 2 years after the one in Paris. And then there's the Czech food and beer. We went to a cafeteria style restaurant (no English menu, just point and get served) and had some of the best food the whole trip, Goulash, Stuffed Peppers and potato dumplings, perfect for the freezing cold weather. All that for 200 Krown (I'll let you do the math).
Czechs may be known for the beer, but they've also got some good wine
And finally, the beer. Our last night we set off for the P.U.B., a bar where you have your own tap at your table, and just get charged by the liter of Pilser Urquell. And you compete with all the other P.U.B.'s around town and in the rest of the country. Needless to say, we didn't rack up too many points with just the two of us.
One last thing, since I forgot to mention them in Germany, are the Christmas Markets! Every square has a market selling ornaments, presents, fried potatos, meat on a spick, and our favorite, Gluhwein. There is nothing like hot wine on a cold winter day to help get you through all the sights! Next it's off to Bratislava... bonus points if you know what country that's in!
