Wow its cold here!!  After travelling in 90+ degree temperatures, the coast is a refreshing 70 or so.  After driving through the desert, which got less and less vegetated as we reached the coast, and pretty much living in the bush and small villages for the past 3 weeks, Swakopmund seems like a huge metropolis surrounded by desert dunes.  There are buildings with more than two stories here.  We walked through the shops and found a movie theatre!  Unfortunately there wasn't anything playing that interested us. As we window shopped, shopping and seeing expensive things in windows seemed more foreign now than sleeping in desert and huts.  Some of the newer buildings here do remind us of Miami though.

This morning we went sea kayaking in Walvis Bay with the seals and dolphins.  It was three hours of giggling and play while the seals swam around us and curiously splashed water.  It was about the most interactive fun we've had yet!  Tonight we are having another Braii with one of Beth's coworkers and his new wife.

Again, we may be away from internet for about a week until we get to Windhoek, so don't worry about us.  We'll just be having fun climbing the Waterburg Plateau!

Dancing with the stars=playing with seals
I am so jelous when I read everything you are going through... until you mention the part of camping under the stars (well you know me, I can not be away from a refrigerator). Stephanie (that everyday is getting more gordita) and I (that everyday am getting more gordito) are missing you guys and we are so happy to see that you are having such a good time. I saw the picture where you are playing with the seals (another coincidence, I had to deal with a couple of them as well.. they were redoing their kitchen). Almost literally. Enjoy it and take as many pictures as you can. Kulunguele, kulunguele. Nacho y Stephanie
