Hi all,
We found an internet connection at the Funky Monkey Backpackers. It is definately not broadband speed!! We have been trying for the last 45 minutes to upload photos to no avail. Sorry, but we may have to wait to have a picture party when we get back.
We leave Nelspruit today for Kruger Park, where we will be camping for three nights. It has been kind of cold here, so they say the animals come out to the road for warmth when its like this. Hopefully they are right!! Everything is going well here. South Africa is not what I had pictured before coming here. We have been in the mountains the whole time so far!! We took a drive up to Blyde River Canyon where there are beautiful vista views, potholes and waterfalls. Now that the clouds are gone, hopefully we'll see the stars over Kruger tonight as we camp.
We will post again when we can.

Driving
Hey you two...my computer hasn't been working for five days and I've been so anxious to get messages from you and say hi too. After a trip to the Geek Squad this morning I learned it's probably the printer. So without it plugged in, I work OK! What an adventure you must be having. I'm glad you're both well after your flight. Beth, no more ear problems? Yes, driving there takes a few days to get used to and after 8 weeks you may come home and have to relearn the other side of the road here! Beth did learn how to drive there, she drove when we traveled Namibia during PC, but mostly in the bush. Hope you are getting lots of photo's. I miss seeing what you're seeing via photo's, but what a photo/story party we'll have when you get back! I enjoy seeing your progress on the map. Thanks for thinking of doing this as it's really a lot of fun to track your travel...I follow along with you in my 'Collins Atlas' here. How are the campgrounds? Modern with water and bifs? What kind of car did you get? How is the gas mileage? What is gas priced at there? Any trouble finding it? Oh so nmany questions....you don't have to answer them all, I can ask again when you get home. Are you writing? You will enjoy reading your journals for years to come so don't skimp on them. Record information from all your senses....what you smell, hear, the feel of things, emotions, describe the season/weather, as well as what you see. I love you and send hugs. Mom
Full Moon
Tonight is the full moom and I'll be planting spring bulbs in the garden by it's light. Thinking of you.
Beth, I'm taking care of your mail as we discussed.
Love, Minneapolis Mom
Wassup!
Hey you two! Glad to hear you guys are having fun! Kinda bummed you can't upload pics, but that will make you guys coming back even better! So Tommy, how's the beer down there? Too bad you don't have the VW bus with you, driving around cranking some 'Toto' :)
