Rugby tonight!  We're at the Woodsman Restauarant and Pub to watch the game.  In case you don't know, South Africa's Springbok are playing England for the world championship.  Everyone's dressed in green and gold...Erik's happy!

We think we're finally over the jet lag after sleeping 13 hours last night.  Our first night in Johannesburg, we woke up in the middle of the night (no watches, so we thought it was close to dawn).  We must have stayed up for another three hours waiting patiently...  We finally fell asleep again and woke up at 7:45!  It was a good day ahead of us... we met some locals that gave us some advice on our plans and our car was delivered to us.  Driving on the other side of the road (and other side of the car too) was a trip in itself, but Erik's been doing well!  Beth is still learning to drive with a stick on side streets.  :)

 .  The weather's been overcast so the planned mountain drives have been put on hold until tomorrow.  We saw our first snake on the trail...Beth's ready for the high jump.  We're enjoying the wildlife (especially the birds in the early morning).

We didn't plan on finding the internet connection tonight (all other places are closed for the game) so we don't have photos to upload tonight.  Hopefully, we'll get them on our site tomorrow if we can find an open place on a Sunday.  Otherwise, it might be after Kruger National Park.  But, there'll be plenty of animal photos to include then.

Hey there you two ! Im glad you made it safely there. Must be weird driving on the opposite side of the road and the opp. side of the car.. hahaha.. well I ll await your next post with pictures! Have a great time! Watch out for snakes Beth ! heehee.. I get the new truck monday , looks like the water here is going to be ruff again for at least a few days giving me time to get my truck all hooked up, I ll send ya pics when I get it in the driveway !

You slept 13 hours? Tommy, you're not in college anymore you know! :)

Thanks for the updates -- keep 'em comin'. Have a great time over there and don't forget to bring me back some snakes.
