Day 4 and 5:
Howdy doodie all!

Well, since the last update we've been doing some trekking around the streets of Rio trying to find the stupid bus terminal; we've travelled to a lovely little place on the coast just along from Rio called Paraty (on the map, it looks like a suburb of Rio but took us 4 hours to get to on the bus giving you some indication of how big Brazil is!) We're staying here: in a 9 bed dorm which is hotter than the sun when everyone is in it. One fan between nine hot bodies is an air conditioning unit too few! Anywho apart from the travelling, we haven't done much so far in Paraty, but tomorrow sees up venturing up into the beautiful mountains to see the waterfalls. We heading up there in jeeps, which should be exciting.

Love to all.

Day 6 and 7:

Yesterday was about as chilled a day as one can possibly have. Not at all in the sense of temperature - although the night was pretty cool in comparison to the other night - but very much in the sense that our efforts consisted of eating, drinking, pooling, lounging, snoozing and capriniaing (naughty drinking!). Ace day.

Today was - in a very different way - another amazing day. We went on a jeep trip to various natural and extremely beautiful waterfalls in the local area. How one area can be so rich with beauty is beyond me?

Sod it, here's a video for you...hopefully my technological wizardry will allow you to see it. Here goes...

Anyways, if a picture - no matter how poorly composed - tells a thousand words, then a video tells even I'll shut up now and let you get back to your very much busier lives.

Oh, one more thing. We have a 6 hour bus trip to Sao Paulo tomorrow, a 2 hour break and then a 15 hour trip to Iguazu falls (voted the world's most picturesque waterfall). Crap trip to an amazing place. Swings and roundabouts as they say. Not sure I'll use that phrase in South America much, so it's nice to get it out there!

Ciao beautiful people,

P.S - Water + Tom's ears + Too much time together = A very annoyed Tom who cannot listen to music without sounding like it's being played underwater.
