Left Toronto Monday afternoon and arrived Wednesday morning without many delays and very little sleep; had a three hour layover in LA, then non-stop to Incheon, the gateway to Korea and Seoul. The Korean airlines flight was impressive (compared to the first leg on American Airlines) -- excellent food, free wine, free personal movies and the service was always polite with a bow and smile. Aaron, the good son that he is, picked me up at the airport rather than having me try to find his place without any Korean abilities.
Incheon is a large city adjoining Seoul (like Mississauga and Toronto) that contains their international airport, many industries and some commuters. In Korea, the vast majority live in high-rise buildings close to where they work.
Tidbits:
- Based on the actual weather in Korea, I wish I could trade my overly warm winter coat for a windbreaker.
