Not sure I ever want to go back to North Dakota!  It was very difficult riding/driving the trike when the wind was blowing about 40 mph across the plains!  The entire trip across the state we wondered what do the citizens do here!?  They must all be farmers - there are no trees, only farm land.  I wonder where they get their oxygen - sure isn't from trees!  The farms are HUGH - I'm sure 1000's of acres!  The farms are miles and miles apart.

Funny thing was we only saw 4 tractors working as we went across the state!  They must work at night.  We saw several lakes along the highway, but no one fishing - it was way too windy to fish!  I think hunting and fishing are out of the question in ND.....to windy to fish and the hunter has no place to hide behind - no trees, hills, brush or anything!

Anyway, here we are in Billings MONTANA.  It's a much prettier state.  More mountainous terrian.....and more trees!  It's colder though!  We ran into colder temps and rain, but we made good time and rode over 500 miles - even with the wind in ND!

Had a little excitement early this morning - Porter's journal flew away, plus a small dashboard compartment - that he stopped and ran after!  Thank goodness the traffic isn't bad in ND and he survived running around on HIGHWAY 94 after his trike part!

Hope you enjoy the pictures.  Tomorrow I hope to take more - today I was afraid the camera would blow out of my hand!

We hope to make it to Calgary tomorrow.  Depending on whether the Canadian internet is available or not where we will be staying.
Enjoy your weekend!  'Til next time.............

N.D. gets all their oxygen from the breezes coming out of Alaska. Maybe it was my evening margarita that still has me laughing at the vision of Randy chasing after a bike part. It's things like this that makes for an exciting trip and looking back on as a most memorable happening. Pushing to get it running will be another. "Loving your trip!" Bruce

Sounds like a good day! 'Bout half way there! Haha, and you've gone a long way as it is! Kind of wondering why it looks like everyone's trying to hide the pain they're in with a smile (except for Tom) who almost never smiles in pictures.... haha. Hopefully you guys are starting to get conditioned to it!
Good idea to wear the camera around your next so you can get more pictures! I like the way you're thinking! Keep up the good work, although more candid shots would be nice!
