Early rise for a morning trip out to the Islas Ballestas, this is nicknamed īthe poor mans Galapagosī. The island we went to is in the Reserva Nacional de Paracas, this is mainly a desert filled reserve except for the islands. As we were going out on the boat we saw lots of bottle nose dolphins and seals popping out of the water. The boat followed the Peninsula de Paracas out to sea, on the side of this there was the famous three-pronged Candelabra. This is a giant figure etched in the sand simalar to that at Nazca. When we got out to the island we saw lots of wildlife, we saw penguins, seals, sea lions and thousands of birds.
