15/09/2008 - L
Left Christchurch for a 3 hour flight over to Sydney, it was so strange only being on a plane for a short period of time. To get to the Orchard's (family friends)house in Pymble we had to jump on the train which went over the Harbour Bridge so we got our first view of Sydney Opera House!! We arrived at Steve and Anna's house and were given the guided tour of the house, chatted to the kids Jess, 13 and Sam, 10, played with the poodle Maccy and were told we could borrow Steve's ute - so cool!!
16/09/2008 - L
Lazy morning doing our CV's so we can make use of our working holiday visa's!! Then we headed on the train to Milson's Point, this is the last stop before you head over the Harbour Bridge
17/09/2008 - T
Weather wasn't so great today so headed to Darling Harbour situated around Cockle Bay. Had a walk around then walked over Pyrmont Bridge over to Sydney Aquarium, one of the best in the world, especially the Great Barrier Reef and Antarctic exhibitions. Loads of fish, sharks, penguins, seals, turtles etc etc. The best animal was the 'pig nosed turtle', which, surprisingly enough, had a nose like a pig.
We went to China town for lunch, so much food for really cheap, then headed to the Botanical Gardens which we had a walk around before coming out at the Opera House.

Sydney Harbour - Opera House
. The weather was beautiful no clouds in the sky and the temperature in the high 20's!! We then took the spectacular stroll along the bridge to the Pylon Lookout to get some views of the entire city. We had a picnic ready so we strolled round The Rocks and found a spot on the grass near Circular Quay for lunch while watching the boats and ferrys leave the harbour, with the Opera House in the background.17/09/2008 - T
