30/08/2008 - L

Beautiful views again for breakfast and then a short drive to the capital - Wellington for a busy day of sight seeing.Firstly we headed up Mt. Victoria to the lookout point where you can see the whole city. We then went to the Te Papa (National) Museum where we saw a few exhibitions and some friends from Mendoza. We had lunch on the coast and headed to the Botantical Gardens and Cable Car Museum where we just had a little strole as the sun was shining.
We then headed round the coast and found then best spot for parking up in Shelly Bay. We went mussle picking and had them as a starter before lamb chop night!! The views over the bay were amazing and we could see the airport and planes landing! It was Saturday night so we indulged in beer and wine...

We had a late rise the next morning - 9am!! (instead of 7am) and did a bit of shopping before catching our ferry to the South Island...
