Hi everyone, it's Hayley. With only 4 days to go until we leave for our first destination I thought I'd do our first blog entry from sunny Old Colwyn! I's a really strange feeling knowing that in just over 4 days time we will be leaving our home and families to go travelling around the world, I don't think the magnitude of it has quite sunk in yet... but I'm sure it will once we are sitting on the plane! After planning our trip for months we still have a couple of last minute things to do but, all things considered, I feel remarkably calm and collected considering what we are about to do.

I'm not really sure what I expect to get out of this trip but I have a feeling that what we are about to do will become a very significant and important part in my life. A few weeks ago someone told me that our trip would ideally improve my confidence. But, if I'm honest, since we booked our plane tickes I don't think I have ever felt more confident, strong and capable in my life. Embarking on this trip has proved to me that I really can do anything despite my anxiety or fear. I hope that going on our trip will only confirm what I already know about myself... that looking my fears straight in the eye and pushing myself to overcome them makes me a very brave person, no matter how riddled wih anxiety I may be. So yes, I can confess that I am very scared of what the future may hold and that I hate the thought of being away from my family for so long... but if I don't try then I will never know what I am capable of. And for Tom... well I think his biggest challange will be surviving of less than 6 cups of coffee a day! But I've heard they do very strong coffee in Bali so I think he'll be okay :)

Apart from organising our last minute things we are also looking forward to my niece's Baptism on Sunday, at which we are very proud and honoured to be Evie's god-parents!

The next blog we do will be from Hong Kong in a few days time, so I'll take this chance to say hwyl to Wales, we'll miss you! Now bring on the noodles and fried rice!! :)

Even if you both end up on the 'Lost' island, Tom will still find his coffee. I'm looking forward to hearing about the adventures you guys get up to.
