Can't quite believe that our time in HK comes to an end today.  The past 5 days have been incredible as well as exhausting. From sailing in a junk boat across the harbour, to offering incense at a buddhist monistory.  And to finish it all off this morning we were up at the crack of dawn to take part in a tai chi class on the edge of the water front overlooking the entire HK skyline.  Tell you what it beats the pants off doing it on a Monday night after work in the Fugro canteen! Taught by Willian and Pandora (pronounced Pandola if you have a chinese accent) the class was on for about an hour and we were taught some meditative breathing excercises, some basic tai chi sequences and got to watch some really good demonstrations (Pandora was quite scary with a big sword!). Performing Tai Chi on the promenade of Hong Kong harbour in the early morning light was very beautiful and a little bit surreal! After the class had finished we went back over to Hong Kong island to do some souvenir shopping and then headed back to the hotel to check-out. The weather was very clear and sunny today, which meant it was the hottest day so far. It was absolutly blistering in the sunlight and we spent the rest of the afternoon getting our last meal in Hong Kong, sitting in the shade and watching the views over the harbour. At about 5pm we had to head to the airport and, I promise you, walking down the street in the scorching heat with our 18kg backpacks on was not easy! Our connecting flight to Sydney was another long one (9 hours) but apart from a lightening storm (eeeek!!) it went quite quickly. And that was our last day in Hong Kong... bye bye Hong Kong!!
