We arrived off the ferry, a little whoozy from the close to 4 hour journey, and looked for the DOC info site, which was closed when we found it. The woman who was closing up pointed us to the nearest campsite, and we headed for it. 30 ,very windy, and car sick, minutes later
we arrived at Aussie Bay and cooked our usual campsite dinner of veggie soup. The next day we were ready to head for our next farm stay.
Before we got there though we took a short walk along the infamous Queen Charlotte Track, named for the sound that it is along. Quite beautiful, and we met some new duck friends.

Hello
Hi Amanda and Tom:
Was reading all about your trip. NZ sounds awesome. Annie and I just got back from Cabo and our yoga retreat. It was great. two yoga sessions a day. I was a little tired for the snorkling. But things livened up when Annie swam out to the the guys fishing on yacht that came into out little fish-sanctuary, snorkling cove and yelled at them to stop fishing immediatly and leave. They complied of course, pulled thier reels out of the water, and proceded to have some trouble getting out of there, bumping into the snorkle-excusrsion catamarans next to them. All cuz Annie told them off. it was classic. we were all very impressed.
Glad to hear you guys have tranportation, and are really seeing the island.
met my cousin Eli. You guys would get along i think. I'll send you his info before you leave for sydney.
all the best,
love
Jeff
