Where I stayed
We had a fairly leisurely morning and were then off to take a cruise on the Aegean Sea. The boat was quite big, holding about 60 people (mostly Turkish). It was a really fantastic opportunity to see how the Turks have fun when they are on holiday.
It was a day of never-ending fun and celebration aboard the boat. They played games, had races on the top deck, had loud Turkish music booming out of speakers, and danced to certain songs. We spent the day watching them enjoy themselves, joining in on the games occasionally, sunbaking on the top deck, enjoying the shade and breeze on the lower deck, diving off the side of the boat and swimming in the (very) cool water
The boat would stop and moor to random small islands and then we would have some time to jump off the boat and swim in the waters. A little ice cream boat would also come up to the side of the boat and try to sell to the passengers. At one of the stops Justin, John and I swam to another boat that was much larger than ours at three storeys high. After tiptoeing through the sunbakers, we all dove off the side of the boat. When in mid air it felt like I was falling for a lot longer than I would expect. It was a real rush. We had to quickly swim back as our boat was about to leave without us.
When we got back to Ayvalik, we had dinner in a local kebab joint and then had a fairly early night as we would have an early start the next morning.
