The day started off pouring with rain, which didn't bode well for our trip up the "coathanger" (Harbour Bridge). We did not want to be walking up 1400 steps soaking wet and with our heads in the clouds, but as the day continued the rain eased off and the clouds almost cleared up.
The climb itself was fantastic. You have to be breathalised and are given 30 minutes of preparation; kitting up and making sure you know how to climb ladders! As you climb up to the top we never noticed just how high we were going up, the bit your walking along is as wide as a truck and the incline isn't that step at all. When we made it to the top we could see all the way out to Manly to the east and the Blue Mountains to the west. Brilliant!
After the climb we wandered through the Rocks to check out the Aussie custom of two up, a wierd betting game based on heads or tails. It was so popular we couldn't even get into any of the bars.
