We said our goodbyes and then asked the hotel to get us a 'taxi' to take us to Tom's friends house where we would be staying for the next 2 nights. We were not impressed when we arrived to be told that it would cost $25 as she was a limo service!! That is not what we had asked for and we had even had to find where we were going on the map for the driver with the meter ticking-grr!!

The friend's house is absolutely gorgeous, surrounded by green with a swimming pool and only a bus ride away from the town centre. It has been so nice and relaxing having some home comforts for a change!!

After a spot of lunch we headed out to explore!! We went straight down to Clarke's Quay on the banks of the Sigapore River where it proceeded to pour with rain! We took cover for abit and then when it stopped went for a boat journey to see the city from the water. We saw loads of sites including Raffles landing site, the Merlions, the Esplanade etc. but the problem was that the camera battery had died after about 2 photos so we just had to commit it all to memory!!

Decided there was not much poitn sightseeing without a camera so headed back to chill for the evening.
