The train ride to Wuhan takes 10 hours from Luoyang. Its now 3 o'clock in the morning, and to find a hotel in Wuhan at this time is not an easy job.I had one in my mind, close to the train station, but unfortunately it was locked, maybe out of business! The next choice was occupied, and so I ended up in cozy Home Inn, they have many branches all over China, and more important they have also good room rates at USD 20 per night.
Spend my time in the "Yellow Crane Tower" , on the top of the Snake hill, a five storey landmark of the Qing dynasty; there is an elevator, but it does not work this time!Nice view of the city of Wuhan and the Yangtze river.
I take a ferry across the mighty river. Many cargo boats pass by, we stop close to the big Jangtze bridge, a master piece of chinese engineering, constructed in 1957.
The Changshan temple is right besides my hotel, and so I have a quick look.
I am booked today on a softsleeper train (105 yuan) to the Hunan capital of Changshan, my next stop.
