.30 Woke up early - again. Couldn't get back to sleep so figured I may as well get up. I was at the bus station by 8.45am even though I had planned on catching the 10am bus to Dublin (I ended up catching the 9am bus).
.10 Arrived at Dublin but my plane doesn't leave until 15.35 and I can't check in until 13.35 so I have a fair bit of timem to kill. Read a book and had lunch at McDonalds - got rid of all my Euro coins because the money exchange places won't change coins, only notes.
.35 Checked in... my bag which had the exact same stuff in it as when I flew in from Paris (and I do mean exactly as I only bought a few postcards and 1 necklace in Ireland and they were in my carryone bag) now weighed an extra kilo... 20.8kgs... but I didn't get charged for it.
.05 Boarding time. People started lining up but since the line wasn't going anywhere the line was just getting longer and longer. My back had really started hurting about 1 hour before (don't know why as I can't remember doing anything to it) so I stayed seated. Finally at about 15.30 the line started to move. So far 'RyanAir - the on time airline' has 2 strikes in the on time department.
.00 As you know I have had a cold and I'm still not completely over it, but I didn't give it a second thought when I got on the plane. Taking off was fine but about 3 mins before touchdown I felt as though someone had stuck a hot poker right up behind my right eye. I grabbed my eye and screamed and the people around me all looked at me... I was crying as I said 'sinuses' and people just looked on with pity (nothing they could do anyway). The pain stopped as soon as we touched down - but that 3 mins were the most painful of my entire life!
