Sort of. Last night was so so so so cold! After dinner we were sitting around the cook tent, listening to music and having a few drinks and I was getting colder and colder... so I called it quits and went to bed.
But I was so cold, I ended up crying. Yep, crying! I was shivering so much, I couldn't control it and next thing I was in tears. Well at least I didn't snore! I know I didn't because I didn't sleep! I was wearing 2 t-shirts, my jumper, my winter sleeping bag liner (made out of the same material thermals are), my sleeping bag, my jacket over the outside, my beanie, 2 pairs of socks and I had a towel over my air bed to stop the cold coming through. Didn't help at all!
Breakfast was at 8am but most people were awake and up at 6.30 as it was warmer when we were moving
We stopped at Sighisoara today - the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler (Dracula) which was a pretty town absolutely dripping in Dracula souvenirs. Except for playing cards... I really wanted some cards with fangs on them... but no one had any. Lots of blood wine (which tasted really bad according to those who bought it), t-shirts and dolls.
We stopped in the town/city of Cluj Napoca and we had 1 1/2 hours to explore. We went to St Michael's Cathedral... but to be honest I can't remember anything about it. I'd have to see my photos to jog my memory. I do remember going shopping with Nicky and Angie and Nicky being so hung over that she just wanted to sit on the bench and not move. I ended up buying some alcohol with Sam because I had been drinking a little bit of other people's alcohol... not much but felt I should at least add to the stock pile. Most of what we have is vodka... it's the cheapest around.
Then we drove to the campsite which wasn't actually in Cluj but rather about 45 mins out of town. This campsite had a large kind of playing field so we got the soccer ball out and the cricket bat and played some games while waiting for dinner.
We seem to spend a quite a lot of time at night sitting around the cook tent having a few drinks. It's nice as we can talk to everybody... someone different from the people around you on the bus. Don't get me wrong I love the people around me on the bus... we seem to have settled into our seats and sit next to the same people quite a bit. But mixing it up at the campsite it good too.
