We arrived in Fiji this morning at 5am after another long flight - 11 hours.  This time however, we flew through the night so we managed to sleep most of the way and missed the day that we lost!  Bit wierd going over the date line and waking up a day later!!  We are staying in a hotel called Nadi Bay Resort which is only 10 minutes from the airport and is a few minutes drive to the town. 

Im afraid to say- for all those in blighty - thats its REALLY hot here!!  we are positively glowing with our white white skin, but hopefully not for too long.  We have booked a 14 day island hop pass that will take us to all the islands off the west coast of the main island, starting from our pick up tomorrow morning at 7.30 am (7.30 pm UK time).  Its a 4 hour boat ride to the top island from where we will hop our way back down through the other islands to the main island for our last night here before catching our flight to Auckland on the 17th Dec.

Not much to report really other than to make you all jealous that we have finally hit some sunshine!  Dont be too jealous though as apparently its been raining tons here... fingers crossed it doesnt for the next 2 weeks!

Hot here too!
Summer in NZ too, so make sure your tan is good enough to take the UV rays from here!!

Great to hear about the trip - looking forward to catching up with you both early next year.

We've just been away for 10 days - really hot, magic weather. Even had to put the soft top on our wee motor on one day - we were literally baking!!

Hey! Sounds like you're having a great time...... sunshine.... I am sooo jealous!! It is horrid here! Stevey an I just came back from a mini break in Cork, Ireland - we had a great time, it was lovely to relax in a gorgeous hotel and see some sights an of course, kiss the Blarney Stone!! The weather was pants though.
I am such a wombat, you won't guess what I did..... I had a new credit card come through so I cut up my old one and the same day a new debit car came through so I did the same - only it was the wrong E Toft..... hmmmmmm, shockingly my pin didn't work with your card when I tried to buy duty free with it in the airport!!! So now I have to confess to my bank - duh!
Anyway, you enjoy that fabulous sunshine and I'll go buy a Christmas tree!

We all wish you an amazing Christmas! That will be hard I am sure in such a beautiful venue as New Zealand!!! The pictures look lovely and am really glad that you are making the most of such an amazing opportunity!! Mum and Dad have been to stay for a few days and Elspeth has had a great time being entertained....she has zillions of prezzies...a cleaning hell for Nick!!!
