Happy New Year !!!

Last night at midnight was the Tet Festival (Chinese New Year's) here in Vietnam. What a amazing experience to be right in the middle of, thousands if not ten's of thousands gathered in around Hoan Kiem Lake in the center of town to watch the fireworks. Today the town is quiet, most of the places that where open yesterday (which weren't very many) are closed. Tommorrow we depart for Halong Bay for a 3 day / 2 night cruise on a 'junk' threw the islands. I would write more but my head is pounding with every keystroke.
