Once I was up a little I decided to cut my losses and call it a night, also as I knew I was getting up early to go surfing, Johnny has 3 boards, two are foamee's (no idea if that's spelt right)
. So we got up around 8 and headed to Dee Why Beach. As Johnny and Annie (the daughter) had broken up for summer a week before all the state schools the beach was pretty empty so we had a lot of surf to ourselves. Johnny started by helping Abby but after about 15 mins she was sunbathing! Then Molly turned up and loved it, she was really good, standing up and everything. The beach was about a mile stretch of sun and sand. I surfed for about two hours or so, trying to remember what I'd learnt a few months back, I still kinda had the hang of it and was able to stand up. Still not as good as Jake's hand-stands but whatever ;)
I know this is a short one but I'll keep you in the loop.
Last night I decided to check out the casino, so Abby and I got there for around 5 (the start of happy hour). It was at this place called the star, which is one of the nicest hotels in Sydney. It has loads of fancy restaurants overlooking Darling Harbour. I'd never been to a casino so I felt like I was in Vegas or something, haha! But, I lost $50 pretty quickly on roulette and made it back about 10 minutes later on one of the slot machine, spent $5 made $63! Then we got some drinks and food in the sports bar, it had about 10 different screens with loads of different events and people betting on all sorts of odd sports, I hadn't even seen some of them before, was weird.
