Hmmmm¡K gonna try to make a long story short here as I¡¦m sure I can type holes through my laptop as I type due to a LITTLE frustration. So, given that we¡¦re all a little tired, and we almost didn¡¦t get up this morning due to no courtesy phone call (as we requested), and our alarm not working, the fact that then the stupid elevator didn¡¦t work started this day off quite like yesterday ended. 150 lbs of luggage with 7.5 month old twins in strollers a few floors up and we¡¦re already late for the shuttle that¡¦s nicely waiting on us¡K a working elevator would be sweet. Movin¡¦ on! We get to the airport¡K yippee, another delay! Movin¡¦ on! Get all of our gigantic luggage checked in and in through customs pretty smoothly! Quite happy about this obviously, and THANK the sweet sweet g-zuz that we got First Class tickets all the way to Miami!! Girls are doing GREAT. Seriously! Given they¡¦re down 5 hours of sleep, they¡¦re troopers for sure! Get to Chicago and the girls need-a-changin¡¦ and we need food. We get food, change the girls, and low and behold¡K ¡§last call for flight¡¨ blah blah blah¡K with blah blah blah being ours! HA! So we almost miss our flight! Movin¡¦ on! We got on¡K get us to Charlotte please! Yippee¡K flight left on time and we landed on time. One last leg.. MIAMI!
We made it! A long tiring day! First Class and all, there were still 3 flight segments to get done, with Tina and I having about 2.5 hours sleep the night before made for a long day. Another kicker, and this one we weren¡¦t happy at all. Hit Miami at 7:30 PM which is 5:30 PM YK time. Sweet right? Shoulda! But, our main piece of luggage with the girls diapers, travel cots, backpack carriers, etc (big Hockey Canada Goalie bag) got ¡§lost¡¨. Not just ¡§oops it¡¦s still in Edmonton¡¨ or something of the sort, but the kind ¡§oops it¡¦s not even in our system. First Class; BIG stickers on it all saying Priority¡K notta. After about 45 minutes to an hour in the airport luggage claims place, they give us a reference # to call back at mid-night for an update. Movin¡¦ on! Cut to mid-night; nothing! Still not found. We¡¦re freakin¡¦ wondering if we can even do this cruise without it (more was in this bag). We try to sleep, and thankfully the girls sleep great, but this is night two of them sleeping in bed with us and that is something we¡¦re certainly not used to. Them either! fº Continued tomorrow!! To cruise or not to cruise¡K
