Messina, Italy - This port has a botanical garden, lots of old churches, quaint neighborhoods and tons of trash.  That is a central theme so far in Italian ports in Sicily.  I hiked for about 2 hours up and down all kinds of streets and alleys and then headed back to the ship for a rest.  It was Italy in the rough, pure and simple and a great gateway to Corinth for more interesting sites like the coleseum and other great things, but I had to return to the ship to work so I hope to catch these on an upcoming cruise.
