"Smell Bone= Melbourne" I learned this from a free walking tour guide almost half way done the tour. Yara River cutting through Melbourne CBD was a huge trading quay back in hundreds of years ago and fishes were loaded and processed on the riverside where all the fishes guts were dumped into the river while bone is pile up at mountain height at the current CBD area. This place was stink like hell hence passer-by call it smelly bone! smelly bone! a place full piles of smelly fish bones and maybe the short tongue Japanese came and pronunced it as Mel-borne (my guess) then it become Melbourne.

Undecided where to go in middle of Flinder Street and found a bunch of weirdos; don't look like the locals, and a fellow wearing a yellow shirt, pointing here and there explaining every details and history. I think I might just strike a free tour and so I did but I was fortunately unfortunate as the free walking tour has coming to its end.
From Flinder Street I followed the track to Federation Square> Contemporary Art Musuem>> end!

I must have missed out lots of things in the 2hours walking before this!! It actually start at 10am where all those weirdo gather and lead by the tour guide walking around Melbourne with story-telling along the way. Interestingly it's free but a small tips would be appreciated.
Tourist Information Centre at the Federation Square is helpful, in fact it has all the information and tour packages a tourist needed. I grabbed a few self-walking tour (Wharf side walking tour) and started my long walks along the riverside.

Pop into the Contemporary Art Musuem while a saprono is singing at her height!!!It's a free show but I'm just not an art appreciator of such thus I make my way out silently. Back to the street and continue my wharf walking tour.

Later in the evening I joined my counsin Ai Ting& family diner at Springvale, a distance of 40mins by train from CBD. It’s wonderful to have some relatives abroad and I even overnight at their place.
