Once we'd worked out which day it was ( Sunday, again) we decided to have another lazy day and mooch about town a bit after a late start to the day. We had the complimentary breakfast included in the cost of our room (Jo is loving having toast for breakfast again instead of curry and chappaties, which has been our staple breakfast since arriving in Penang the week before) and headed out to find somewhere to have lunch. The street on Twenty is located had been a tourist packed night market during the last two evenings and the stalls selling all sorts of touristy tat didn't pack up until after midnight, about half an hour before the karaoke bar closed right next door. But, today, it being Sunday, the market and tourists were out in force during the day as well, so we forced our way along the street in the direction of the bridge leading to the other side of the river where we had spied a shopping mall.

The reason we thought we'd do some window shopping was due to our continuing ineptitude in making a decision about where we'd like to go after we'd exhausted Malacca and the comfort of Twenty. So, we had sadly ruled out visiting Sian in Japan as the flights we'd looked at in various travel agents and on the internet were so very expensive, and besides we couldn't even get a flight for the end of March (when Sian was free for us to visit, sorry Sian, we'll get to Japan soon, promise) so we'd been racking our brains about our next port of call.

We'd considered Eastern Malaysia in order to visit the rainforests and the Orang Utan Rehabiltation Centre, as well as The Phillipines, or even Indonsia, but we'd decided (after along discussion and visiting a few websites) to take a cheap flight to New Zealand and "do" some WWOOFing (not to be mistaken with "dogging", which is completey different) until June when we'd fly home to Blighty. We'd decided this as we knew we could only visit such an expensive, and amazing place as NZ if we could keep our outgoings to the minimal and WWOOFing would enable us to do that by allowing us staying with families on their organic farms and helping out with various jobs as required in favour of a bed and our keep. This was why we wanted to take a look in the shopping mall as we'd discovered that it is actually Autumn in NZ at the moment and will be Winter by the time we'd leave, so as we only have shorts, sandals and t shirts for clothing, we thought some warm weather gear would be an idea, and the clothing in Malaysia is so cheap!!

The lure of Twenty called us back by about 3pm, and as everybody was out, we took advantage of the P&Q and watched some of the many rip off dvd's that they guys have next to their huge wide screen TV.
