Where I stayed
here is tomek broadcasting from montevideo - home of chicas bellissimas, brown ocean waves (ondas), old american cars, scooters and not working shift buttons.
so i have finally arrived and got the luggage through the customs. even the sausages went through and i havent even declared them. naughty :) they didnt search me and i was hoping for another cavity search experience;). they took me aside but i didnt even have to open the suitcases - they let me go after 5 minutes of questioning about the purpose of my travel and especially about the technical parameters of my motorcycle. i finally feel like im on holiday. i´ve checked in the hostel now and im gonna go to town and check out the climbing wall in a while. apparently they are building the highest artificial climbing wall in the world in here amuralla.com. i dont think its true but im gonna go there and check this out anyway. the city is pretty cool and whats most important its summer again! uruguay looks a bit like south of spain but smells different. i think it´s the trees. some of the cars are similar to what you can see in africa but in a better shape. in general it feels different than europe but looks similar. im gonna upload some photos in the evening. the other guys havent responded to my texts and when i attempted to call them, some woman said in spanish that ´eso es no possible sth.. connectar...` etc. i think their plane might have crashed or they underwent a thorough body cavity search and are in detention now for not undergoing a mandatory enema before entering the argentinian soil. they were going to montevideo through buenos aires - poor little souls.
its time now for some local exploration so `hasta luego muchachos` :)
