Friday 22nd...

We finally left the house around 5pm when I found out that I didnt have to work on sunday as scheduled. Thank God for more time with my parents while I can.
We had dinner in downtown Syracuse at the Mission resuarant, a cute little church turned into a pan american cuisine restuarant. We shared the salsa and a big nachos and sweet potato fries with guava ketchup. Such a gem of a place, and a great find in this city.
We then, guided by our new GPS, drove north west and i woke up somewhere near the border of canada where Mom and Dad had decided to stopover for the night so that we might see the falls in the morning.

Saturday 23rd...
Since this was unplanned I was the only one without a passport so the USA side of the falls it was. It was still beautiful and none of us had done the American side before. Dad wanted to go on the Maid in the Mist but it was a couple hours wait and still too cold to get wet. Although I did want to use my waterproof camera down there. There were people walking out on man built balconies down at the bottom of one of the falls and getting cained by the water rushing past. I got video of it so check that out, the crazy people!
we had a nap on the well waterfall mist watered grass and got yellow sunflower stains. We finally left around 2.30pm and drove through pennsylvannia.
The welcome centre was very modern and pro looking. We ate Linner at Cracker Barrell. I must admit thier salad was pretty good. We got an old fashioned hersheys bar of chocolate, supposedly the old recipe before they added the wax, it still tasted bad, but thats what european chocolate will do to your taste buds.
We arrived in Sandusky Ohio late at night and used the GPS to call hotels and check out the rates. I also called the movie to find the times etc. We ended up 5 minutes late for Night at the Museum 2, walking in the door as I was confirming our hotel reservations over the phone for that night. We always have to do EVERYTHING! But I wouldnt have it any other way. The movie was hilarious. A bad guy with a lisp, classic!
we crashed around midnight and planned to get up early to try and beat the crouds at Cedar Point theme park. It turned out to be to no use...
