Jagged big rocks, jagged little pills.

Otherwise, the Grand Canyon was great. A little bit chilly at night in the tent but the camping ground was very nice and Karen and Keir's company a lot nicer. We didn't make it to the bottom, or at least to see the river, but maybe next time:)
When i named this blog "... Or travelling on the time of crisis" i didnt really believe that the crisis could get so bad. It has been following me around: when I was in new york lehman brothers went bankrupt; in Seattle it was Washington mutual's turn; waiting for a train at LA's union stn i read in the paper that california was the first state to plunge into recession; in Arizona ... it was Iceland. While at the grand canyon Alexander called to say that my bank - Kaupthing - had been nationalized and that Iceland was in desperate need of a loan to save the economy from total collapse. They were also going to introduce a currency board. I already survived one in Bulgaria in 1997 so I am sure I will survive this one as well. I just hope everything will be fine with my savings. At least while I am on the road. Another jagged little pill to swallow after the "adventures" in Trinidad and Tobago;)
