We took a small boat to the bigger boat and unpacked our things in our room. Then we went on the roof and took pictures - I honestly don't think the trip would be the same if we didn't bring our DSLR camera! Vu and I took most of the pictures so far (Ok, Vu more than me) and it would have been nice if there was more sun for lighting outside. The pictures are massive, so I only posted the pictures from our other digital camera.
We met a couple from Holland and another Canadian family from Edmonton - all nice people! The meals were also really nice, and.. not really Vietnamese. I felt bad for Vu because it was all seafood. It was a huge FML for him.
Halong Bay is pretty much a bunch of mountains on the ocean.. if you google it, it's nothing compared to actually being there. We got to go in the caves, and it was massive!! It was hard to take pictures because it was so dark but we did the best we could! After we just walked around, looking for monkeys on the mountains, but we had no luck. Where's the sun?!?
Afterwards we went to the beach, and Vu and I played volleyball with some vietnamese guys. I think they thought I was a boy, but I'm not quite sure. It was really fun though! Oh.. and Vu kept singing "I'm on a boat, mah'fackas!!!" -- We were going to jump from the roof of our boat into the water full of jellyfish, but it was so windy and getting a bit cold. Sorry Matt! I really wanted to too! :(
We got back to our hotel 4 hours later, and now I'm freshened up. We're about to see some family soon like we did on the first day. OH yeah, one of my dad's cousins told me.. "you know, you'd be so beautiful, if you had longer legs." -- FML!
That's all for now - check out the pics and vids :)
