Washington dc

I actually managed to take the right trams and arrive at my hostel. When I walked through the door I saw a friend I had met in Miami 2 weeks ago which was very funny and he had met a german dude at the hostel so we decided to go to the museums together the next day. The next three days we all stuck together and did the same thing every day. Wake up, go to a museum or two which were all free. Then get some lunch at Chinatown for $3.50 and then have a beer or two somewhere in the city or back at the hostel. We had a lot of fun while walking around dc.

Especially one day when we were having a beer and Lukas the guy from Germany went to the bathroom. While he was gone I grabbed his camera and took a picture of my arm really closeup so it looks like someones butt. Then I turned it off and put the camera back. We were walking around for an hour later and suddenly Lukas looks at his camera and yells "i did not take this?!?" ofcourse Colin and i played along and were asking questions like "why do you have that on your camera?" good times.

The last day I woke up and decided to open the window but it slipped and closed on my finger. When i pulled it out the fingernail was pretty much hanging off and a cut in the side of my finger. Lucky i had met a girl the night before who studied medicine and she was staying in my dorm, so she helped me bandage it up and then i walked to the hospital. When i got there I called the travel insurance company and got a girl from new Zealand on the phone and it was so good to hear a familiar accent again. I spent 5 hours at the hospital getting all stitched up and then still managed to meet the 2 guys at the end of the afternoon to see the air and space museum.

The next day I took the train to Ohio which was a nice change from the greyhound buses.
