Well...I did it. I got on the plane. Reading back at my entry last night i realise that it was just alcohol and emotion talking. Im exactly where i should be now.

Im writing this from the lovely internet lounge in Changi airport. Only got two minutes of net left so i'll be veery brief. Did write a huge one on my laptop but it didnt seem to like the wireless network here.

My first long-haul flight went surprisingly well all things considered. There was initial issues, firstly when i left my visa on the check in desk, and then when i got on the plane 3 rows behind a squawking child, and next to a man pulling out a copies of The Daily Sport and Loaded, however these were nothing headphones and a Korean romantic film couldnt solve (you know how i like my subtitles)

The flight itself was surprising not unpleasant. Yes it was nearly 12 hours but id take it over a 5 hour megabus any day of the week. The seats were reasonably comfortable, the food relatively edible and i could wander to my hearts content. To the best of my knowledge ive not got DVT and apart from a bit of turbulence in the middle was very calm and serene. You'll all be please to know that when we did hit the turbulence i managed to avoid running round shouting "we're all going to die!"

Now i just cant wait for the second, slighltly shorter, flight which is going to take me to Melbourne, to where ive been planning for at least the last 6 months, if not longer, to be.

And thats where you'll next hear from me!

So proud of you!
My eyes welled up when I read your entry! You really did it honey, you really did it! Not that I thought you would get to the check in and suddenly declared that you had the latest range of flick knives in your hand lugage and some kind man packed your rucksack and even gave you £500 for the pleasure.

I am glad the flight wasn't too bad - hopefully as I write this you will have your head down for the first time in your new home. (Maybe that was the second thing after the first thing!).

Well done sweetness you have done so well - time to get some Bundy drinking in, put your feet up and what the next 12 months fly by!

Oh - last night the internet was installed. Now we have been launched into the 21st Century - let me know how you would like to communicate! Do I need to get Skipe? Webcam? Speakers? Satalite dish on the microwave? All technical support graciously appreciated!

I hope you are happy and well - oh, your card arrived yesterday! Very funny indeed! Once you get set up, let me know your address so we can snail mail it too!

Miss you more than you could ever imagine but so proud of you button! Millions of love and kisses for my bestest bud xx

Welcome message
Well Timothy Stanley, hope you've arrived safely and don't feel too lagged. I logged onto the blog ASAP to find your last message from home, realising then that we were one of the chosen family you saw in the coupla weeks before you left. You bugger, it made me cry when I realised we might have a special place in your heart... goodness it's happening again....

Anyway I don't think you need to be told you have a special place in our hearts too. We so loved seeing you at the weekend and I hope we said all the right things before you went!

What is this with you and apostrophes? I'm with elsbels on this one.

All my love
Liz (and Barry too) xxxxxxxxxx
