Day 9, Wed, 12 Nov:  Morning landing at St Andrew's Bay
Sth Georgia's largest King Peng colony and one of the largest sites of Elephant Seal breeding.  What do want me to say???  Amazing stuff.  One Beach Master keeps a look out over his harem for the Sneaky F*****s.  That is what a published scientific paper has called them, so do not have to wash my mouth (and computer) out with soap, Ma.  They do exactly what their name suggests, but if caught in the attempt, will have a spectacular fight with the Beach Master.

Cranky, testosterone fueled Fur seals established themselves as Tim's adversaries.  Very territorial, we encroached and Tim was chased by (another) crazed male.  They can out run a person apparently.  I didn't manage to capture it on film...I was too busy running in the opposite direction.  A dignified concession by both of us. NOT.

In the afternoon we landed at Gold Harbour, a favourite amongst expedition staff and now us.  Similar glacial carved landscape, only more so.  And with rivulets to the sea and a very small estuary.  Plus more Kings, cranky Furrie's and Ele seals.  Kings are quite inquisitive, and if you stay still they will flagrantly flaunt the people-to-wildlife distance restrictions and come up to you.
