What up! Happy Easter & Spring to all!

Engelberg, Switzerland - So we wrapped up the season in Engelberg with blue skies and decent snow. We had more visitors as my friend Adam and his buddy Jamie came in from Boulder and we all did some backcountry skiing on the Glacier followed by many cocktails. Sue´s brother Dave and his buddy Vetter arrived the day Adam & Jamie left and joined the party from here to Venezia. Happy Hours at Yucatan´s & Eden Bar - 2 for 1 pitchers, rides on the Titlis Rotair cable car to the top of the Glacier, getting our asses kicked in fussball by all the Swedes & the freshest bread, pastries and fondue!!! We loved this town & the mountain and there is so much terrain it is just sick!

Chamonix, France - Chamonix lived up to all the hype! We skiied hard by day and partied even harder by night. The skiing here is unreal and the views are even better. Mt Blanc marks the 3rd seven summit we have seen on this trip and the whole Chamonix valley is intense! The train ride from Martigny, Switzerland to Chamonix, France the `Mont Blanc Express´ is the craziest train ride we have ever been on in our lives. You are basically right on the side of the mountain looking straight down for thousands of feet. The views are incredible and it keeps getting better around every corner, and then you arrive in Chamonix, sick!! We met up with Adam & Jamie again, who headed for Cham after Engelberg, and started out at Chambre 9, hit Pizza Salsa, went to the Canadian bar, then yet another before heading to the Midnight Express for late night crepes and cheeseburgers (yummmmmy.

Cirque Terre, Italy - Cirque Terre is a national park on the coast of Italy south of Genoa and just north of La Spezia. There is this sweet 12km stone pathway that links these 5 coastal fishing villages and the scenery is spectacular. It was a sweet day with tons of sunshine and it was like 25 degrees!! We grubbed on deli sandwhiches at the second town, gelato and the third town, pizza at the fourth town and a bottle of wine at the fifth. Welcome to Italy - this will be the theme.

Firenze, Italy - Okay we caused major trouble in this town. Aside from seeing all the sights: the Duomo, Uffizi Gallary, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Del Michealangelo we ate pizza, calzones, cappacinos, gelato, veal ossobucco, pasta, and drank a TON of VINO! Our big night out started at the Joshua Tree pub before hitting this killer place for dinner, bye the way we had Italian food at dinner, and way too much wine. We don´t remember much after that but in the morning we had pictures of us hugging these old Italian women, riding the carosel in town and Dave & Vetter stayed out until 5am and have their own crazy story.....

Roma, Italy - Alright so this will sound familiar but here we go again. We hit all the major sights in Roma: Vatican City, Sisteen Chapel, St. Peters Basilica/Square, Colloseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.. Went out for amazing food and a ton of wine. Basically you can roll into the corner store and leave with four bottles of wine for like 8 euros and these bottles of wine are solid!! Besides that you can feel totally safe ordering the house red for the table and it will be great. The food is friggin amazing and unless you totally go off course you are going to get a great Italian meal for less than 10 euros! Oh the Gelato.....italian ice cream rocks and I still have a belly ache from my two cone a day habbit but hey when in Rome!

Venezia, Italy - Major sights include the Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge, St Marcs Square and random wandering into dead ends. This town is super cool and the most unique in Italy as it is built on water. More craziness insued here as we again drank too much wine and ate more that we should have. I´m telling you that you can´t help it when you are in Italy. Every day we ate slices of Pizza, cones of Gelato, bottles of wine, a TON of bread with cheese & salami, and some type of pasta dish for dinner. We miss it already just typing it!!! Oh, and Vetter happend to stumble upon a much needed canal-side opportunity.

Innsbruck, Austria - Dave & Vetter left Venizia and headed back to the states while we went north to Austria. We arrived in the Austrian alps after sunshine and warm weather in Italy hoping to do some hiking in the surrounding mountains. What we got was two days of snow/rain and did a lot of chillin out, which was much needed after our romp through Italy. (I´m still full). After a few sausages with mustard and more good bread we were out of Austria.

Prague, Czech Republic - With Prague came more wet weather, 3 days worth. Oh spring time in Europe... We did manage to get out and do the touristy thing here too hitting the Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, the 2 main squares, drank some local Pilsner and tried the green absinthe. Prague was very cool and the architecture here was unique. One of the only major Euro cities not bombed in WWII, the buildings are all still intact and super old school.

Alright we are now off to Germany to eat Brats and drink more beer, woo hoo!

Timbo & Sue

PS. In case we haven´t mentioned it we have decided to jump ship on Europe at the end of April and live in Costa Rica during May to do some surfing!! Somthing about expensive prices, sleeping in hostel dorm beds and a TON of tourists has turned us off on europe a little bit.
