Today I went through Chinatown to go to really nice temples on the other side of the city.  I kept getting stopped by nice people giving me directions but they all just tried to sell me their tuk-tuks (which is like a taxi golf cart) but I refused.

The main temple, the grand palace, was pretty but way too crowded and had a bunch of VIP military people there dressed in white.  I think its a Buddhist holiday.  This had an emerald Buddha but I couldn't get to it.

The second temple, wat pho,  had this really cool HUGE golden statue of Buddha reclining.  It was so big and I felt like he was about to stand up and destroy the city like some stay-puff marshmallow man.

I went through china town again on the way back and had some pretty good and very cheap street Chinese food.  Good day but I sweated like crazy because it's pretty hot.
