We took a 30 minute bus ride out to Auckland's war memorial museum. With three storeys, it's the country's oldest museum. The ground floor displayed the Pacific Island and Maori culture, including an impressive 25m-long war canoe. The first floor had several sections including NZ's geological origins, forests and animals. While the top floor focused on New Zealanders at war including two War Memorial Halls.
Later on, we took the bus back to the city and came across an old cemetery. Even though it was kind of spooky with its old trees and crooked tombstones, we were too curious and had to have a closer look. It was divided into sections depending on the religion and most gravestones dated back to the 1880's. From what we could see, the majority died at a young age. Afterwards, we headed towards the shops and made our way into the Louis Vutton store. If they only knew where we had come from! I still can't believe they took us seriously. Here I am, again in my flip-flops. Tim made up this story about how this one bag was similar to one we had seen in Paris last year. We left the store almost in tears, we were laughing so hard. The bag was $1600!!
