We showed up at the dive centre yesterday morning but unfortunately, it was too windy to go snorkeling with turtles. So we ended up visiting the lighthouse overlooking Cape Byron. The view was outstanding and we must have seen over 15 dolphins. We followed the pathway right to the end, the most eastern point of Australia. It's also a terrific spot to view humpback whales that pass during their migration.

In the afternoon, we looked into the weather situation and decided to hit the road for Brisbane seeing that it's supposed to rain all week. After calling the bus and booking our next hostel, we went to the cinema and saw Brokeback Mountain.

This morning around 10:15, a girl from the hostel brought us to the bus station and as soon as we got out it started to poor. A good thing we put our rain covers over are backpacks. We arrived in Brisbane around 1:30 pm and had to put our watches back an hour considering the time change between Queensland and New South Wales.

Shortly after, a guy from the hostel came and picked us up. Were staying in a really nice hostel called Palace Backpackers and have our own private room Dolphins

. After unpacking a bit, we made our way to Chinatown. It was around 2:30 pm and not too many restaurants were open. We thought that this was only the case in smaller towns but I guess we were wrong. After walking around a bit we did find a nice café.

After lunch, we walked around and did a bit of shopping. There's a huge mall and numerous markets, the only thing is the fall fashion is out, including jackets, sweaters even flannel pajamas. We got a kick out of that because I think someone told us that in the winter time, the lowest is about 10 Celsius. However, during the day it's still in the 20's.
