Newcastle is Australia's second oldest and seventh largest city. What a nice break from busy Sydney. Our hostel is very relax and much more quiet. It makes me think of a private club. The main room has a fire place, huge leather couches, pool table and a big oval table to the side. The wood is rich and there's beams crossing the sealing.

We took the morning easy and decided to sleep in. We were tired from the bus ride. After breakfast, we booked a dolphin tour for Saturday. We have to be in front of the hostel for 9:15 am. It's an all day tour. It also includes sand boarding down the sand dunes. Were looking forward to that.

Later on, we went to Newcastle beach today. The hostel provided boogie boards so we had a great time riding the waves. We took a break from the water and walked the beach. They have ocean baths were families were swimming with their young children. You're still swimming in the ocean but it's enclosed so you don't have to worry about the waves.
