We left San Antonio and decided that we were tired of the main highways and big cities.  So, we found a small town in Texas, off the beaten path, called Fredericksburg.  We went to the local grocery store and loaded up with groceries, then we wandered down Main Street.  What a great, little town!  Lots of charm and small town feel.  It was the Texas version of our Lititz Main Street.  This town was settled by Germans and most of the streets are German and the local bakery had German pastries.  After leaving Fredericksburg, we headed for Carlsbad, New Mexico.  We got to our RV park by noon on Wednesday and spent the afternoon catching up on wash, cleaning, reading, and relaxing.  Today, Thursday, we spent the morning exploring the caverns.  The next couple of days will be a lot of driving to make it to California with a few little stops along the way.  One bigger stop will be at Joshua Tree National Park to hopefully do some hiking, finally!  Check out the last picture added.  Can anyone guess where Tim is?
