One week Singapore, what will it be? I flew from Shanghai via Bangkok to Singapore, my first impression was a good one, a very clean airport and good weather. I went to my hotel, then I started a small tour to Orchard Road. In the following days I avoided tourist spots like Orchard Road, I even did not go to Sentosa Island like nearly every tourist. I prefered to visit places where I can be in nature like Mc Richie Reservoir (which was amazing, in the lake you can see thousands of small and big turtles), Bukit Timah (where I found carnivirous plants after four hours of searching) and Pulau Ubin, an island near Singapore where only some fishermen live. I saw a scorpion on Pulau Ubin.
So I spent one wonderful week in Singapore. Everything is quite expensive, but if you eat in Little India you can get delicious food for small money (contrary to Orchard Road).
One thing which you really should see is the "Night Zoo" of Singapore. The city is very clean and the inhabitants are friendly and helpful. I am sure anytime I will visit Singapore again. More thumbnails ...
