An amazing trip.
Ten days relaxing, driving around with a rent car, searching for the most beautiful beaches of the world, going to Praslin and La Digue....! And the population is sooooo kind!!!! I think the pictures are self-explanatory and I don´t need to lose more words... STOP: Some advices: DO´s: Visit Praslin and La Digue, "climb" Copolia and see the carnvorous plants, have lunch in "Marie Antoinette" - amazing food, visit the following beaches: Mahé: Takamaka, Anse Soleil (my favourite), Anse Mayor, Petite Anse. Praslin: Anse Lazio. La Digue: Grand Anse and Petite Anse. See the turtles - nearly every hotel and restaurant has some giant turtles. Look for fruit bats and mudskipper, both really strange animals. Rent a car. Visit Valée de Mér on Praslin. Visit the market in Victoria, soooo many colours. Buy Vanilla. When you go to La Digue, remember that accomodation is quite expensive. There is a restaurant called ZEROF (good food) and a supermarked besides. The owner offers accomodation (there is NO sign that they have accomodation (just 2o Euro/room/night). If you want to buy a flag for your wall at home, you will not find it in any shops. On ly last day in paradise I found out that it can be bought only at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (it was no problem to get it there....).
DONT´S: Stay at CHEZ BATISTA Hotel or eat there, we were quite disappointed (quite impolite stuff, not as good food as everywhere mentioned). Don´t change money in a bank, you get a good rate in every shop. Take care, there are places where you can´t pay with RUPEES, only with € or $$. Don´t be late when you go by COCO ferry to Praslin, the cassiers are very slow; when you don´t want to miss the boat, be there 1,5 hours before departure. More thumbnails ...
