Wow, my first trip to Asia. First of all I was not sure if it will not be boring, two weeks on an island, just one hotel and nothing else, no cars, no streets, no shops, no nothing, just you and the nature.
We went there with LTU and from Male by boat to Embudu Village, our hotel island. It was amazing. There were not many guests, so everyone had a beach for himself. The whole day we were snorkeling or just relaxing on the beach. To snorkel on the Maldives was one of the best things I did in my life - it was amazing. I saw clownsfish, trigger fish, sharks, "Napoleon", rays and so on. And it was not boring to snorkel the whole day and two weeks. The hotel was nice, we had a bungalow for us. We met nice people from Berlin and we were playing cards with them until late in the night.
For me it was a new experience to be on an island without streets (for two weeks I did not wear shoes) and cars, it was so quiet and peaceful. And we were lucky - even though we went in May and the rainy season starts in May, it was raining only once (on the day we left). It was a great trip with Florian (we have been to Sicily before and in San Francisco after that trip) and I hope that other trips will follow... More thumbnails ...
