Ok so I finished school on Wednesday.
Thursday to Saturaday afternoon I had the priviledge of visisiting the Cloud Forest Reserve called Bellavista. I saw many plants and birds.
I saw toucans, hummingbirds, one similar to an owl, one of turquoise. I played ecua-Volley, similar to to volley ball but played with three players per side.
The plants were fascanating, especially in colour. The stinging nettle has a unique flower. There were several others like: Mother-in-laws tongue, Devils Penis, one with red tips under leaf-supposedly good for womans mentrual circle, one tree that the bark was an hullasenagienic (not spelt right) and the leaves were a contraceptive for woman. Also tiny grapes that if you had 0.5kilo it would be a fantastic trip.
The trails were good excercise and the waterfalls were worth the hikes.
The more I learn, the more I realise that we have a responsiblity as tenants on this earth, to care for it. I have the rough plans for Bellavista and may drop them in the hands of other eco-friendly developers. As Australians espescially, we travel the world the most, we need to investigate how we can look after Australia better and use our discoveries to improve our home and the areas else where we can assist. May suggest to work that we investigate investing in ecotourism.
The owner of Bellavista liked when I quoted the zulu saying: "If you think you are to small to make a difference, then you have never slept with a mosquito."
