Now the ferry crossing is a bit special, especially if you have a nice day like we did.
Leaving the port of Wellington offered some spectacular views of the green hills and the coastline around the capital, however it was coming into Picton which was special.
We went through the Malborough Sounds, it was wonderful, all these green covered hills and the blue clear water
- just spectacular, worth the trip defo!
Picton itself is also worth a stop, hough I do think its seen as just a port and an overnight stop, but where we stayed was just really nice, nestled among the sounds along the coast. The lady of the hostel was really nice as not only did she bake homemade bead, she came and picked us up and dropped us off from and to the Ferry terminal for free, not bad!
