After hanging by the pool for a while the girls and I went over to the market to get a bite to eat a do a little shopping. I found a booth of art by Jim Tweedy. He draws humorous cartoons of cats and dogs. I bought a cute print entitled "Self Portrait" and he signed and dated it for me. (His works can be found at http://friendlydoggies.com/)
The valet at the hotel suggested we do as the locals do and go to Frenchman Street for dinner and jazz
After dinner and music, we walked to Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop. Built in 1722, it's the oldest bar in the US. it was dark and creepy and has to be incredibly haunted. From there we wandered down Royal Street and headed back to the hotel..
Tomorrow we are taking a Garden District Tour in the morning. I also want to go back to some cool antique shops we discovered on Decatur street.
