Click likes to play music on her laptop in the hotel room we share, and apropos of our packing up to depart for Athens, she was playing a lovely remake of "Leaving on a Jetplane."

"That's nice," I said, "who's the artist?"

She told me the name of the singer, and then she added, "It's a song from that movie Armageddon a few years ago."

It's difficult to face the idea of packing up and leaving. Cairo has been an amazing, intense, epic experience for us. We've had a great time, not just because of our visits to the once-in-a-lifetime sites, but because of the service of the staff at the hotel and the warmth of the Egyptian culture. Wreath of Roses is going to investigate study abroad opportunities in Egypt, Click wants to ride the camels around the pyramids again with her family, and Blink Blink is considering an Egyptian guy's offer of five thousand camels for her hand in marriage. :-)

Oh babe, I hate to go.
