Next the bus took us further south to the silver mine at Thorikos. The slaves of the Athenians dug approximately 21 billion dollars' worth of silver out of these mines, enough to pay for the fleet Athens used to defeat the Persians in the Persian War.

We sat at the restored ancient theater at Thorikos, which had a gorgeous view of the sea. Lithe took a picture of all 26 students plus Indy and me sitting together on the steps of the theater. This is the only picture of everyone together.

I also snagged a stunning picture on the rare occasion of Wedding Belle wearing her long hair down in the wind.
